Ornate rooms & suites in a restored 1926 hotel with event space, a lobby bar & a WWII-era lounge.

This hotel with spectacular. You walk in and you can tell it is a historic hotel. It is not made with that cheap weird Hotel vibe. It has that amazing historic well-made vibe. The elevators are lined in real wood, and there are so many little things to see like the mail chute. I walked in and was immediately amazed at just how beautiful the place is.Staff was very friendly and caring, despite it being a stressful time after 2 hurricanes. Everyone went above and beyond. If they are this good under stress, I imagine they are completely amazing when it is not a stressful time.

Booked this hotel since it was close to the airport and not outrageously priced. Staff was courteous and the shuttle was fantastic. If you are unfamiliar with the hotel, you can get lost easily. Room felt homely. Although, there were many bits of fabric, strings, etc on the carpet. Main complaints were they messed up our reservation and couldn't fix it because they were overbooked. My double king room turned to one king and a foldout couch. There aren't any ice machines, microwaves in the room and they don't have a pool. With a hotel boasting of this status, you would think they would have these. Didn't eat at the resturaunts but reading the menu made it felt like I would need a second mortgage to go there. Parking was a huge disappointment. Forced to valet for $40 a day. The only other options are pay to park lots a distance away. Don't worry, they don't tell you any of that when booking. Pure insanity. All in all, a bust.

Highly recommend great location close to several places to eat, drink, walk, etc. Unfortunately the first night the A/C was not working and we had to move to another room which they were really good and quick in resolving. Both nights we stopped by The Dan for drinks and appetizer - both bartenders were awesome sorry can't remember their names. My only complain was with the front desk, my only in person interaction was to ask about a late check out (we were not expecting past noon btw) the lady at the front desk looked like she was having a bad night even before i spoke with her and was super short and not friendly at all. Overall very happy with my stay and will stay again!

Hotel Flor is in a convenient location. The girl who helped us when we checked in was a sweetheart. I didn't get her name, but her birthday is on Halloween! The rooms were clean and the bed was so comfy. There is a lot of construction but it didn't bother us at all. Complimentary breakfast was a great addition, although our server didn't seem so happy to be there. I understand everyone has bad days, but the efficiency wasn't there. Hopefully the more than deserving tip helped her out. One thing that caught me off guard about the hotel was the $40 valet charge, which is mandatory. I didn't understand that, especially since there is already a $30 check in charge, at the hotel. That should be advertised for people to consider when choosing a hotel. All in all, I would stay again. We enjoyed outer time here.

We stayed for one night for a concert. When we arrived, the AC was not working well in the room but I gave it some time to cool down. As we got ready, the room go worse, so I called downstairs and they did send someone to "mend" it. However, we get back to the room at midnight and it was sweltering, humid and hot. They made us move rooms in the middle of the night, having all three of us pack everything up, to a room with only one bed when we specifically needed two, and they did nothing to rectify it. They gave us two vouchers for a breakfast we didn't want and there were three of us. They were rude and smug and could not have cared less that our evening turned into a train wreck, having to scramble to get all of our things out and moved to another floor. And they didn't send anyone to assist, either. Not to mention the bars and restaurants were all closed on a Friday night. Management refused to speak to me. They are unprofessional and completely incompetent.

Exceptional Stay at Hotel Flor Tampa!I recently stayed at Hotel Flor in Tampa, and I was thoroughly impressed by the experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The rooms were clean, modern, and well-appointed, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The location is fantastic—conveniently situated near many attractions, yet it offers a peaceful ambiance, perfect for both business and leisure travelers. I particularly enjoyed the restaurant on-site, where the food was delicious, and the service was top-notch.One of the standout features for me was the attention to detail throughout the hotel, from the beautiful lobby to the thoughtful amenities in the room. The hotel also took great care in addressing any minor concerns promptly, ensuring my stay was as seamless as possible.I would highly recommend Hotel Flor to anyone visiting Tampa! It offers excellent value, a prime location, and an overall delightful experience. I look forward to returning on my next trip to the area!

This Hilton Hotel Flor was amazing. I spent just the night as we were in town for the Missy Elliot concert. When we first got there we met Tim the valet guy. Tim was super friendly and very professional he explained the pricing and how valet worked for the hotel. When we checked in we met Maria she was so nice, professional and sweet. Maria went over the hotel things to do how the deposit worked and if we needed anything to let her know, she even told us about the champagne and cookies you get starting at 3PM, yummy! After we checked in we went to the room, the reason I gave the room a four star was the AC wasnt working. However, we were moved to another room within minutes and the AC worked much better. Then we went to have some lunch and when we came back we met Kayla so friendly and nice as well. The highlight of the stay came the morning of check out. I had to call down stairs to ask for an extended check out as my flight was delayed couple hours they were more than happy to help so we went downstairs to have breakfast and met the most wonderful, customer focused, professional and all around great person her name was Evan. Evan was so friendly and went above and beyond to the point where I had asked for scissors to cut a tag of a new shirt I bought and she went and found some for me. I have been in hospitality for many years and the "go above and beyond" service is very hard to find now a days but not with Evan, she truly was the highlight of our stay at this amazing hotel. Thank you to all the staff for being super amazing. Next time we come back to Tampa we will be staying at The Hilton Flor.

Hotel Flor is beautiful and in a great location! Staff is kind. Room is updated, clean, and pretty! The shuttle service they offer guests is SO helpful for getting to and from, and the driver Ryan R was efficient, informative, and SO kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our quick stay and highly recommend this hotel.

I normally hate leaving bad reviews, but here goes -We received a free two night voucher for Christmas of 2023 from family that lives in the Tampa area. We were so excited to visit this hotel, as it had been a part of a tour that we did the previous year on the history of Tampa. I will just start from the beginning -1. Planning our trip started two months before we left. Since it was a voucher, I had to go through sales. I could never get a hold of anyone. Left phone calls, emails, and when someone did respond, they were less than enthused to help. It took three weeks to get our reservation confirmed.2. Hurricane Milton - this one was out of our control. We decided the Saturday before Milton hit that it would be best to move our vacation to the following week. I called the hotel and asked if it was possible to move our dates to October 15-17. I spoke with someone from the sales team, who informed me that my request wasn't necessary, as they would likely not be affected by the hurricane and that it would be in my best interest to just keep my current reservation, but I still requested the movement of dates, and she was less than thrilled to do so.3. Checking In & Parking - I had a voucher for a two night stay that I needed to give to them. I was told that I would incur a $200 incidental fee. I was not told about this charge in the process of making my reservation so I was surprised. I asked about parking and was told that I could pay the $40 valet, pay $3 an hour for street parking around the hotel upon availability, or use the Sacred Heart parking garage, which was $20 per day. We drove down to the parking garage, only to find that it was unavailable due to construction. We were also given a $30 voucher for the bar. We were also informed at check in, that due to construction, we would not be able to use any water for the next hour, which seemed reasonable, but that leads to my next issue.4. The Room - The room itself was very nice. We enjoyed the aesthetic of the room and the amenities it offered. After two hours of no water, we left for our evening plans, hoping that the water would be back on. Three hours later, we returned, to still no water. Woke up the next morning at 6am, still no water. I called the front desk and they informed me that there was no direct timeline on the return of water but that they would comp my upcoming night, and I informed them that it was already free, and they said that there was nothing they could do. We returned from our afternoon plans, to water being back on. However, there was no hot water. We ran the shower and the faucet for 10 minutes - no luck. I informed the front desk and they told me that there was a trick, which was running both at the same time for extended periods of time, which I told them I did. They offered maintenance, which I accepted. They did tell me that I would have to wait for him so he could show me "the trick" to get it to work. I was not postponing my plans to wait, but luckily, I came back to hot water, with less than 12 hours til checkout.5. Checking Out - I went to go check out, and they asked if I had been informed about the Destination Fee, and I said no. And she told me that they were waiving it anyway due to the lack of water during our stay. I find out later that that fee covers our "complimentary" $30 bar voucher and the free water bottles in our room.We were hesitant to talk to our family about this, as they were the ones who paid and won this stay at a local school auction. We didn't want them to feel guilty and we wanted to chalk all of this up to bad timing and luck. Our family was understanding of our frustration and shared in it with us. For the foreseeable future, none of us would recommend this hotel to anyone.

After the longest day of work I checked into the hotel. Jeffrey at the front desk is the example of EXEMPLARY hospitality; he was welcoming, kind, and very helpful. The room was pristine, the AC was set to 69° already which was beyond appreciated considering it’s been a brutal summer. Went down to The Dan, the restaurant inside the hotel, for dinner. Alex at the bar was awesome, attentive but not intrusive; exactly what you’d want from a bartender after a very long day. I order my dirty martini which Alex made with ultimate skill. I had dinner and read my book. During my entire time at dinner, by myself, Alex was friendly and made sure I was taken care of. For example, I shared I had had a very long day at work and had not had food since early that morning so with my drink he brought me some bread and butter to have, before my appetizer came out; the key here was I did not even ask for it. He had the foresight to bring it. Establishments such as this one is exactly what a person would want for stay away from home. So far the staff has made my stay a 10/10.

Cold shower two times. Room was nice just renovated. But new facets need to be adjusted so hot water comes thru. Dinner was good. In bad part of town. Lots of homeless in area. Very little parking. 40 $ a night parking.

The Hotel was having work completed on exterior but it didn’t affect our stay. Most notable were Brandon at the front Desk, super helpful and nice guy. The unusual friendly looking yet armed security guard, also very helpful and nice. Nick from Brooklyn was a cool cat too.Biggest shout out goes to the valet team…. Those guys were great and very helpful to me and my kid. Great stay..

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It's downtown location is great! Close to everything. The staff were friendly, attentive and very professional. My room was huge. My a/c worked very well. My only issue was in the shower, the hot water had to run a few minutes before getting hot. I will definitely stay at this hotel again on a return trip to Tampa.

I really wanted to like this place. It’s a convenient spot in Downtown Tampa they’d close to where I need to go when I’m there for work. I was excited based on the photos, too. I’m also pretty loyal to Hilton. But I didn’t have a good stay.First, it takes a very long time to get hot water to the showers. Second, my first room had a strange wet spot in the carpet near the windows. When I pulled back the curtains, I found a wet and moldy electrical outlet. I asked to be moved to another room, only to find a less severe version of the same issue in that room, too. Most hotels I’ve been to will also offer to help you switch rooms if there’s an issue. Here, I had to pack up, bring all my stuff to the lobby, and then exchange my keys.Only one elevator works, at least when I was there. And when I tried to go up from the first floor (where the restaurant and coffee shop are) it just didn’t go anywhere. So I had to carry all my things and catch the elevator from the lobby (which is on the second floor, really). There’s scaffolding covered the building facade because of the building renovations. And they work on the building from 7:30 to 5:30 each day. It got so loud I couldn’t hear someone I was trying to call on the phone.I think once the renovations are done, this might be a great place to stay again. I do really enjoy staying in Hilton’s portfolio of historic properties, like the Candler in Atlanta. But I’ll be this one it until then.I will say the staff is very nice. And they didn’t charge me for checking out a day early when my business needs changed.

After reading the reviews I was a little hesitant. But overall great stay, easy & friendly check in, comfy beds & pillows & plenty of coffee/bars on premises.Be sure to read the destination fee & valet only fee. If light sensitive at night or travel with kids who might distract by light at night, pack some post it notes or tape and card-stock. The AC unit that is mounted high up on the wall in our room had a bright blue light. The room was quite soundproof!

I loved my stay at the Flor! The food was incredible and the service impeccable. I got a free glass of champagne when i checked in. The only reason that I'm not giving 5 stars is that they're remodeling the exterior and the noise is pretty bad 1st thing in the morning. But, they provide ear plugs. My room was awesome and I really appreciated that the TV greeted me by name! I know that I'm not the most well traveled woman in the world but, the Flor is the best hotel I've stayed at today.

Ok so the rundown of my one night stay at this hotel. I arrived at 11:45 ready to get in a room as soon as possible ( keep in mind I already have a reservation). Valet was amazing and got straight to the point but I do wish that the signs to the building were bigger and more noticeable, I couldn’t figure out where the entrance was. I entered the hotel to see the entire lobby filled with people in suitcases, so I waited in line. Unfortunately, only one person was working the entire front desk and he did an amazing job under the circumstances that he was given. The hotel was overbooked and there were no rooms of available so I had to wait until 1:22 to reserve my room. The self check out kiosk to get snacks and beverages wasn’t working and they wouldn’t take cash to pay for the products I wanted so I gave up. Once I enter the room It looked like everything was completely fine until I walked past the bathroom and noticed that the carpet was soaking wet. I then tried to ignore that issue and walked into the bathroom to get ready to take a shower and noticed blood all over the bathtub. I tried to call the front desk to let them know what was happening so I wouldn’t get charged for it later but didn’t get a response which I understand, so I walked down stairs to let them know and he was really concerned which I appreciate and offered a new room. I waited until 3:27 just to be told that there aren’t any more room but at this time I was just exhausted so I asked for gloves and cleaning products to take care of the situation myself. Other than these issues the room was beautiful and love the renovations. Although I forgot the name of the man who helped at the front desk, I appreciate the help and patience last night. I wasn’t able to enjoy breakfast at this place since the wait was over 20 minutes but there were multiple tables open. There might have been low staff today but I was really looking forward to that after the night I had.

Spent two nights there. First night walked into a room with no air on so we had to turn the air down all the way to make it tolerable. Also was not told there was construction going on but was provided one pair of ear plugs “for the noise”. No hot water, no conditioner in the bottle, blood on a “clean” towel. Switched rooms and the second was better however our friends stayed a level below us and had no air conditioner the entire stay. Also, don’t be in any hurry to go to and from your room it’s a toss up if the elevator works or shows up within a reasonable time frame. Website says self park however when you get to the hotel they tell you that you have to valet for $38 a night. Went to pick up my truck from valet for checkout and they already had my car as picked up so they had to find the key and truck and were scrambling. Eventually found both. Only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the lobby decor is awesome and the few employees we rencountered inside the actual hotel were truly friendly.

Hotel Flor was absolutely amazing! I know people complain about the scaffolding and construction but the restoration is amazing and worth it; there’s a meeting of the times in the design across a century where the vintage 1920’s meets the modernism of the 2020’s! Maria, Evan & Kayla were amazing in service and hospitality! Everyone was very professional, kind, courteous and accommodating! Their breakfast menu is extremely well priced and the food was fantastic! I had the 2-Egg Breakfast, it was well balanced and delicious! The rooms were very clean and full of amenities. I came down for the Missy Elliot concert with friends and this hotel felt like a second home. I appreciate all the staff and I will be returning. Exceptional service, exceptional experience! 💙

Room bed was nice. Coffee maker broke. Toilet ran. Renovations has giant platforms outside every window, sure it will be nice when done, but don't open blinds when not dressed, lol. Service workers nice, but only thing that got me little uptight was in the hotel restaurant, they charge $3 for every diet coke fountain drink refill, which I was unaware until saw bill, soda flat and I asked to take back so they removed from bill. They had to re run my card twice. Waste time. Was principle, in history of 40 years I have NEVER seen refills on soda especially tiny class, pay each time. Never. This was a 1st. Other than that it was a delightful old hotel redone with that NYC feel. Cheaper to pay for side road parking as free from 12 am to 8 am versus $40 on site parking. People there nice.
